Meet Dr. Sarah Schantz

I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy with a specialty as a Certified Lymphatic Therapist (CLT) and an additional certification through the Lymphology Association of North America (LANA).
I graduated from Pitzer College in 2005 with a Bachelor’s in Fine Art and a minor in Health Studies. My medium was film photography, 35mm and medium format and acrylics. I received my certification as a Lymphedema Therapist through Klose training. Having the opportunity to study with Guenter Klose and his colleges, learning the methods and techniques associated with the world-renowned Foeldi Clinic Center for Lymphology in Germany. In 2019 completed the top level of additional certification as a Lymphedema Therapist through the Lymphology Association of Northern America.

I love being outside as much as possible, playing in or near water, warm sunshine, poetry and my Rhodesian Ridgeback Cassie. I have spent most of my younger years either in a pool or the Pacific Ocean. The wave like movements of manual lymphatic drainage therapy, the cornerstone treatment of complete decongestive treatments, are second nature to the rhythms I already move in.

It has been a lifelong goal to live in the community I serve. Very happy to be here now. My work is to empower and support you in caring for yourself! I look forward to the opportunity to meet you.
